To this day there are some who feel we are under the law Christ died to free us from. It is important to note the law has no bearing on the person who chooses to abide by the correct laws of life, but it is in place for the disobedient and those who live contrary to the ways of God and His sound doctrine. (1 Timothy 1:9,10) Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine.
We are considered to be a liar and the truth is not in us if we say we know and serve God, yet neglect to keep His commandments and is a contrary spirit of the truth. (1 John 2:3-6) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
God does not take lightly that there are still today people who feel the ten commandments are no longer in effect, and that God does not expect us to abide by them any longer. He plainly tells us things will not go well if we trespass them and forsake Him! (2 Chronicles 24:20) And the spirit of God came upon Zech-a-ri’-ah the son of Je-hoi’-a-da the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the Lord, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the Lord, he hath also forsaken you. Our Lord Himself has told us if we love Him we will keep His commandment’s! (John 14:15)
When we learn the truth found only in Christ we are taught to stay clear of those who walk contrary to the truth we abide by (Romans 16:17,18) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
As christians we must stay in line with the spirit of truth God has given us, and to guard our heart’s from the deception of the worlds doctrines (Galatians 5:16-21) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Thank you for this. Much needed. I was just reading this morning: “Love fulfills the law.” When we are truly born of love (agape), then Christ, who is agape love, abides in us. His Spirit within us now keeps the law. We need only to believe Him and His word, and the ten commandments are kept. No more striving, no more bondage like being tethered to and constricted by the old law. He said, I am come to fulfill the law, not destroy it. This is freedom! Christ’s love for us has freed us from the bondage of sin and sinning!
His people have been beat down with false doctrines about this. This knowledge drops the chains from our hands and feet and lead us off the plantation of lies and on through the narrow gate that leads to everlasting life. Halleluyah!
Keep sharing His truth like you are. Thanks, Julia for reblogging my articles. May He continue to bless and keep you.

I too have experienced people who say they have come to Christ and how He understands they are still a sinner. HIS FREEDOM through the Spirit does free us from the shackles of the weight of sin. With His Holy Spirit how can we sin with His knowledge within us. That is like those who sadly believe the “Once saved always saved” doctrine. May the Lord Bless you Always.
