The Reasoning Of God

Some view God as living in a far away place and sometimes will consider helping us, while other times just going about His business. Our Father is nothing like that as it is our sin which separates us from Him, when really He wants to reason with us and cleanse us from our sin if we will allow Him to. (Isaiah 1:16-20). Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

God is always willing to reason with us, His hand is stretched out in hope we turn from our own ways to His! His words will never return to Him without accomplishing the purpose they are given for! (Isaiah 55:7-11) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

There are times God could probably say to us ”What did I ever do to you?” after all through His loving kindness He wants nothing more than for us to love Him and do His will. Just as He had a controversy with those He brought out of Egypt and redeemed them only to have them turn from Him again. WHY? God still pleads with us today as He did so very long ago (Micah 6:2-4). Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord’s controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel .O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me. For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

God is always willing to listen to us, but it is the rebellious heart of man that causes him to turn from God, even after God has stretched out His hand to redeem us or has given a miracle that has changed our life. God is long suffering and his mercy comforts, yet He has said the day will come when He must avenge for His righteous ways as people choose false teachings and nice sounding words that are not from Him and sadly they love to have it that way! (Jeremiah 5:28-31). They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
