Don’t die without the Lord

We all know someone, perhaps its even you, who does not call on the Lord unless tragedy strikes and they say if you get me out of this Lord I will change and do better. There is always the hope of the one who repents on their death bed, but why would anyone want to live a life without the Lord and miss out on all the blessings only He can give, yet many do!

For some it is as the parable of the seed and the sower where if they speak the word they are not able to endure the persecution of others, therefore the word of God becomes unfruitful in their life. May we be stronger to serve the Lord, and not cower when confronted by those who choose to leave God out of their lives (Matthew 13:18-30 ).

So many places in this life can we seek God, but by taking other avenues we could very well miss truly finding Him and sadly die without knowing Him. It is highly popular for people to go to mediums nowadays, but little do people know it has nothing to do with God and they will die without the Lord. When Saul was rejected by God he found out just how wrong it was to dabble with spirit’s when he went to the witch of Endor as read in 1 Samuel Chapter 28.( Isaiah 8:19-22 ).

Some may think they will live as they want and then get right with God in the end. Sadly in the story of the rich man and Lazarus the rich man thought if he could only come back and testify to his loved ones of the aweful place he had ended up they would listen and repent, but was told it would make no difference! (Luke 16:19-31)

Simon Peter gave the best answer for all of us when Jesus (Yahshua) asked if he too would go away after seeing other disciples who no longer walked with Him. ( John 6:65-69 ) And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

  1. Amen 🙏❤

Regarding the initial statement, I’ve come to understand that people often make promises to the Lord in times of sorrow or desperation, but rarely do they follow through. It seems nearly impossible to fulfill a promise made to the Lord because human nature leads us to overlook our commitments once our circumstances improve. This pattern is one I’ve encountered numerous times in my life, especially before my conversion to Christianity. Now, with a deeper understanding, I’m hesitant to make promises to the Lord out of fear and reverence. I respect the Lord too greatly to promise something I know I cannot uphold.

    • You truly have come a long way Willie, as you are not willing to promise or make a vow to God in case you may not keep it. This shows you have a great reverence of the Almighty and it is biblical to make a vow (Promise) and keep it. (Deuteronomy 23:21,22).

      Many Blessings.
      Julia
