We have heard these words repeated across the world in many courtrooms, and yet when under oath people will still lie! What about at the throne of God in the end of it all, would anyone still lie knowing their soul may see hell and not just for a little while but for eternity? Sadly there will be such people as Revelation tells us of those who will begiven the chance to repent of their wrongs, but will not!(Revelation 9:20,21)And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (Revelation 20:14,15).
There are many who believe once saved always saved, but can the saved still lose their salvation? Yes sadly they can. This is a lie the enemy of our soul (satan) wants us to believe that we can live our lives as we want and then upon death we can repent. We have been given an excellent example in scripture how God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, but after having saved them then destroyed them (Jude 3-5) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
To sum it all up lying parts the company of friends and at times family. If we are not careful and return to the old way of life Christ saved us from it could put us in jeopardy of losing salvation for all eternity! The knowledge of Christ is the truth that sets us free in this life and while others may lie about us we must remember God has the final word of the life we lived! He alone knows our hearts and minds. It does not end well with those who choose to go through this life and lie thinking God cannot see their actions, and the fate of the liar is not looked upon by God fondly!
Thank you again for this reminder to “work out your salvation with fear and trembling”… holy fear and awe and great joy in following and serving our marvelous God!
So good to see another who knows scripture. May you Be Blessed Always.

I agree with you. If we couldn’t lose our salvation, why would Satan even bother attacking Christians? Satan loves to fool us with his lies and make us turn from God. He’s one bad, slippery dude!
Your comment says it all. So true. Many blessings.

Amen. No defense attorneys in the judgement. One stands alone and the judge won’t be taking any BS story. All evidence is known and undeniable. There is either access to the tree of life or there is eternal death. No in-between!
Very well said. Like how you took man out of the picture, allowing God who is the true judge. Be Blessed.

“There are many who believe once saved always saved,” How do so many believe this. The thinking is, once saved you cannot go to hell even if you wanted to.
If that is true then what is the incentive for going on to perfection as Jesus and other N.T. writers often admonished one to pursue? Great post!
You are spot on in your comment. Good to hear from another who understands the “Once saved always saved” is just not biblical. Many Blessings.
